Urban Meyer on Dabo Dwinney’s negative recruiting comments: &lsquo...

One of the most eyebrow-raising moments of the new signing day on Wednesday came in the form of a comment — not a commitment.

Jackson Carman, a 5-star offensive lineman, chose Clemson over Ohio State. After making his choice, Carman told reporters one of the factors that helped him pick the Tigers over the Buckeyes was Dabo Swinney suggested Urban Meyer could be close to his retirement.

“(Swinney) also kind of mentioned that Urban was on the back half of his career, which he is, and that Dabo is just starting up, so I mean having the chance to be a part of something that’s upcoming and establish Clemson as a top three figure is something,” Carman said,  per The Dayton Daily News’ Marcus Hartman.

Kentucky Basketball: What John Calipari said after the Wildcats’ 83-75 loss to UCLA

by Kyle Tucker, SEC Country

NEW ORLEANS — John Calipari seemed a bit surprised and sort of at a loss after seventh-ranked Kentucky lost 83-75 to unranked UCLA in the CBS Sports Classic on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats (9-2) gave up a dozen made 3-pointers and several huge runs by the Bruins (9-3), and ultimately couldn’t come up with a...
